Anyone from the greater Springfield area can apply.
How many people have gone through LS?
More than 900 individuals have participated in the program since 1986.
Who participates in LS?
The class is generally comprised of participants from the private sector (large and small companies), not-for-profit sector and public (government) sector. In recent years, the youngest participant was 22 and the most senior was 62. Diversity is a key goal of Leadership Springfield and the program recruits widely, from a variety of communities, in order to select a class reflecting the rich diversity of the region.
How many participants are accepted?
The typical class size ranges from 32-35 participants each year.
Does an individual need their employer’s permission to apply to LS?
Yes. All participants must have their employer’s permission to participate.
What happens if an individual changes employers during the LS program year?
The participant must have permission from their new employer in order to complete the program.
