Springfield Mass Transit District operates twelve regular

Disposal: The Springfield Metropolitan Sanitary District
provides wastewater collection and treatment services for the
City of Springfield, five adjacent villages and other

Disposal: Several private disposal services operate in
Springfield/Sangamon County.

Pipelines:
Several major natural gas pipelines of
Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. intersect Sangamon County in
both north-south and east-west directions. An additional
pipeline from Rockies Express is currently in the process of
being constructed.

Telecommunications: Voice, data and internet services are available
from a number of local and regional providers. CWLP also maintains
an OC-12 Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network that provides
