Q5: A New Day in Economic Development

The Quantum Growth Partnership (Q5) is a five-year, $5.2 million strategic plan for economic growth in the greater Springfield metro area. In early 2006, local leaders met to agree that a renewed focus on the challenges and opportunities existing in the local marketplace was needed. This group identified each and laid out a strategy to transform the local economy. They committed to engage fully in funding and working together accomplish their vision of:

  • 4,500 new and retained jobs in five years

  • $2.6 billion in new wealth

  • 379 new firms in the metro area

The Chamber is dedicated to working with both the public and private sectors to ensure that our community continues to be a profitable place to do business. The opportunities and advantages to businesses in Springfield, or looking to locate to our area, are outlined below.
